Ultraformer MPT is a high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) device available at Facial Harmony Skin & Dental in Box Hill. It delivers focused ultrasound energy into the skin as part of a non-surgical treatment approach.
What is Ultraformer MPT?
Ultraformer MPT delivers focused ultrasound energy to different depths within the skin. This is designed to support the skin’s natural collagen and elastin processes. Treatment does not involve surgery or needles.
Depending on individual suitability, it may be considered for concerns relating to the appearance of:
- skin firmness and laxity
- facial and jawline contour
- fine lines
- skin texture
Not every concern or skin type will suit the same approach, which is why assessment forms part of treatment planning.
How it works
The device uses different cartridge depths to direct energy to different layers of the skin, selected according to the area being treated and your individual assessment. Rather than a fixed protocol, treatment settings are chosen following individual assessment.
What to expect
Before treatment, your practitioner will assess your skin, discuss your concerns, and determine whether treatment may be appropriate for you.
Treatment sessions generally take around 30 to 90 minutes depending on the area treated. Most people are able to return to usual activities the same day, though individual experiences vary.
After treatment
Temporary redness, swelling, warmth or tenderness can occur following treatment and usually settle within a short period. Individual responses and recovery vary. Your practitioner will discuss aftercare and any precautions relevant to your treatment.
When will I see changes?
Any changes following treatment develop gradually, and individual responses vary. The number of sessions and intervals depend on your skin, your goals and your response, and are discussed following assessment rather than assuming everyone requires the same plan.
