Individual Assessment. Informed Decisions.
At Facial Harmony Skin & Dental, cosmetic aesthetic care begins with understanding the individual.
Our approach is consultation and assessment-led. We take time to understand your concerns, relevant health and treatment history, facial features and what you would like to discuss before considering whether treatment may be appropriate.
Cosmetic aesthetic services are provided by appropriately qualified and registered healthcare practitioners working within their individual scope of practice.
Your Consultation
A cosmetic aesthetics consultation provides an opportunity to discuss your concerns and understand the options that may be appropriate for your individual circumstances.
Depending on your concerns and the practitioner involved, your consultation may include assessment of:
- facial features and proportions
- facial movement and expression
- skin and soft tissue characteristics
- changes in facial volume
- relevant medical and treatment history
- previous cosmetic procedures
- your preferences and expectations
Clinical photography may also be used where appropriate as part of assessment, treatment planning and clinical documentation.
An Individual Approach
There is no single treatment approach that is appropriate for everyone.
Following assessment, your practitioner will discuss whether treatment may be suitable and explain the options relevant to your individual circumstances.
A consultation does not mean treatment is required. In some circumstances, the recommendation may be to defer treatment, consider another option, seek assessment from another healthcare practitioner, or have no treatment.
If Treatment Is Being Considered
Before deciding whether to proceed, your practitioner will discuss information relevant to the proposed treatment and your individual circumstances.
This may include:
- the proposed treatment and available alternatives
- what the treatment may and may not achieve
- potential risks and side effects
- expected recovery and aftercare
- costs
- whether further assessment is required
Individual responses and outcomes vary, and a particular cosmetic outcome cannot be guaranteed.
Your Practitioner
Facial Harmony Skin & Dental has a team of registered healthcare practitioners involved in different aspects of patient care, including Registered Nurses and registered dental practitioners.
The practitioner involved in your consultation or treatment will depend on the service being considered, their professional scope of practice and your individual circumstances.
Where another practitioner or healthcare professional is more appropriate for your needs, this can be discussed with you.
Our Approach to Cosmetic Aesthetics
Our approach is based on individual assessment, appropriate treatment planning and informed decision-making.
We aim to provide clear information about potential benefits, limitations, risks, alternatives and costs so you can make an informed decision about your care.
There is no pressure to proceed with treatment following a consultation.
No pressure. No surprises. No shortcuts.
