RF Microneedling at Facial Harmony
Potenza is a radiofrequency (RF) microneedling device that combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy delivered into the skin.
At Facial Harmony Skin & Dental in Box Hill, Potenza treatments are individually planned following assessment. Treatment depth, settings and technique may be adjusted according to the treatment area, your skin characteristics and your individual treatment goals.

What is Potenza RF Microneedling?
Potenza uses fine needles to create controlled microchannels in the skin while delivering radiofrequency energy through the treatment tip. This combination is designed to support the skin’s natural repair and remodelling processes.
Depending on individual suitability, RF microneedling may be considered for concerns relating to the appearance of:
- fine lines
- uneven skin texture
- enlarged or visible pores
- certain types of acne scarring
- skin firmness
Not every concern or skin type will suit the same approach, which is why assessment forms an important part of treatment planning.
How does Potenza work?
During treatment, fine needles enter the skin at a selected depth while radiofrequency energy is delivered to the targeted tissue. Potenza offers different treatment tips, depths and settings, allowing the approach to be adjusted according to the area being treated and your skin characteristics.
Rather than using the same settings for every patient, treatment parameters at Facial Harmony are selected following individual assessment.
What to expect
Before treatment, your practitioner will assess your skin, discuss your concerns and determine whether RF microneedling may be appropriate for you. A topical anaesthetic may be applied beforehand to assist with comfort. During the procedure, the Potenza handpiece is passed over the treatment area using settings selected for your individual plan.
After treatmentRedness, warmth, swelling and tenderness can occur following RF microneedling. Some people may also experience temporary dryness, sensitivity, pinpoint marks, bruising or changes in skin appearance during recovery. The degree of downtime varies depending on the settings used, the area treated and individual response. Your practitioner will discuss aftercare and any specific precautions relevant to your treatment. |
When will I see changes?
Changes following RF microneedling develop gradually, and individual responses vary. The number of treatments and the intervals between them depend on your skin, your goals, the treatment area and your response so a treatment plan is discussed following assessment, rather than assuming everyone requires the same number of sessions.

Potenza at Facial Harmony
Potenza treatments are provided with an assessment-led, individualised approach. We consider your skin characteristics, concerns, treatment history and goals when discussing whether treatment is appropriate and how it may be performed. Before proceeding, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss expected outcomes and limitations, potential risks and side effects, recovery, aftercare and costs.
Important Information
RF microneedling is not suitable for everyone. Individual outcomes and recovery vary, and treatment cannot guarantee a particular cosmetic result. Your practitioner will assess suitability and discuss relevant risks and alternatives before treatment.
